Silo Fumigation

In silo fumigation, we fumigate stored grains like rice, wheat, maize, etc. to control grain spoilage insects. The most commonly used fumigant gas for silo fumigation is methyl bromide (MBR). In silo fumigation, we follow the following steps:
01

Before fumigation, the silo must be properly prepared. This includes sealing all entry and exit points to prevent gas leakage, as well as testing the air quality inside the silo to ensure that it is safe for fumigation. Once the silo is properly prepared, the fumigant gas is released into the silo using a euipment.
02

During the fumigation process, the gas circulates through the stored grain and penetrates any crevices or voids where pests may be hiding. The gas concentration is carefully monitored to ensure that it remains at a lethal level for the target pests, while also ensuring that it does not exceed safety limits for human exposure. The fumigation process typically lasts between 5 and 10 days, depending on the type of grain being fumigated and the severity of the pest infestation.
03

After the fumigation is complete, the silo is ventilated to remove any residual gas and allow the stored grain to degrass Proper ventilation is critical to ensuring that the grain is safe for human and animal consumption. Once the silo is properly ventilated, the stored grain can be removed and used or sold as needed.

It is important to note that silo fumigation is a hazardous process that should only be performed by trained professionals or government authorize company with the proper equipment and safety procedures. Fumigant gases are toxic and can pose health risks to humans and animals if not handled with care. Additionally, proper labeling and documentation is required when fumigating stored items to ensure that they are handled and transported safely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know About ISPM15 Certified Heat-Treated Pallets

1. What is ISPM 15 and why is it important?

ISPM 15 is an international standard that regulates the treatment of wood packaging materials to prevent the spread of pests during international shipping. It is mandatory for exporting wooden pallets to most countries. Heat treatment under this standard ensures compliance and avoids shipment rejection.

2. Are your pallets certified u2. Are your pallets certified under ISPM 15?nder ISPM 15? long does a pest control treatment take?

Yes. All our wooden pallets are heat-treated in a facility approved by the Ministry of National Food Security & Research, Government of Pakistan. Each pallet bears an ISPM 15 stamp and is accompanied by a Heat Treatment Certificate.

3. What is the difference between heat-treated and fumigated pallets?

Heat treatment uses high temperature (56°C for 30 minutes) to eliminate pests, while fumigation involves the use of chemical gases. Heat treatment is more eco-friendly and widely accepted globally. Our pallets are treated through heat treatment, not fumigation.

4. Can I request custom sizes for the pallets?

Absolutely. We manufacture custom-sized heat-treated pallets based on your product specifications and shipping requirements.
